YaDIRa OCOGUaJE
Siekopaai artist, cultural leader, and co-founder of the Keñao Women’s Association in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Her work is rooted in the revitalization of ancestral pottery as a living practice of cultural memory, women’s leadership, and environmental stewardship.
Working with hand-built clay, natural pigments, and techniques passed down through generations, Ocoguaje creates pieces that reflect the worldview of the Siekopaai people. Her practice connects clay, territory, rivers, forest materials, and intergenerational knowledge.
